The purpose of the Knollwood Community Center is to be a place of safety, education and recreation for the residents of the Knollwood Community
Mission Statement
The mission of the Knollwood Community Center is to promote the safety, recreation, improvement and general welfare of the community of Knollwood, regardless of race, color, creed and/or gender. The Knollwood Community Center seeks to: create a stronger community; advise residents of their rights, privileges, and responsibilities; provide recreational, educational, and social services for the resident; promote and facilitate partnerships with government and other groups.
History
The Knollwood Community Center was established in 1998 with the help of a Capital Campaign with several organizations leading the way. Prior to the Community Center being established the building was a storge facility, credit union and a corner store and other things over the 100 year history in the community that was built by Worth Steel around 1920.
